OK Leslie this is how I resize GIF's
Go Here
http://www.gifworks.com/Its a cool website all the file, edit, etc buttons work as if it were a program
1. I had problems saving them as well, they would only save as an untitled .BMP so instead I went to File Open and used Method 1 and simply copied and pasted the image URL into the window then fetched the image
2. After it loads up the image to resize it click on Edit Resize/Crop and the resize, AH BB only allows 64x64 pixels you can play around with the sizing to see what works with the image. The check box for constrain proportions keeps the image in the right proportion, usually by putting 64 in the first window and then clickin on the 2nd window it will automatically size it. However sometimes the 2nd proportion will be bigger than 64 so you just play around with it
3. Now that it is resized in the proper proprtions, you have to get the GIF to 30,000Kb or less. To do this go to Optimize and then reduce colors it will tell you the file size and # of colors, find one that is closest to 30,000 then click on it.
4. Your almost done, you can either right click on it and save it, but as I mentioned earlier that wouldnt work for me, so instead I right clicked and emailed the image to myself. That opens a new window and make sure to click keep original size. The I simply opened outlook sent and received the email right clicked on the attachment and saved it as. I dont have a clue as to why I cant simply right click the image and save it without having to email it. But this is the only way I could get it to save as a GIF and not a BMP or JPG
5. Hope this helps
