30+ years ago I would have been 6 so no I haven't seen JW. My father in law grew up in Beaumont and has a lot to say about the Winters brothers. I agree about Johnny though, as evidenced by his live version of Boot Hill. Man that cat is dangerous on guitar. A lot of people say Albert King was SRV's greatest influence but if you ask me I hear a hell of a lot more of JW's lightning riffs in SRV than King's bending prowess although that is there as well. For me though Stevie just made the act of playing guitar exciting, like it was completely and totally effortless.
As for Hank Williams, I agree, his music is classic. And I got the humor of Holden's post, that is why I replied with Jr., Jr.
