Okay, okay. Enough is enough.. NOBADDY? <nottaflame>

this isnt meant to be a flame..

I love trinity and all.. everyone knows i love trinity.. but the thing i don't love about trinity.. is the bottom ALWAYS gets ganged by the top 2, never fails. Only time the top 2 teams fight is for the reset. I logged tonight because the west coast was getting rolled, 2-3 full red darbar.. the east was gettin rolled, the same damn thing. Looked north.. i saw a 1/4 of a darbar and 1 base flashing.. The 2 teams up north will have no problem with this and call me a whiner, i'm sure, since my country always gets the bottom..

So NB.. There hasta be some method to make all countries as appealing to attack as the others.. Maybe a 'gateway' field up on the north mountains like A1.. or 2 per mountain range, one belonging to each country of the border..

I realize you spent a lot of time on this map, and i ya for it, it's a great map, but it needs some tweaking to stop the gang..

Frankly, not much can be done about the gang. Once a certain country drops low, the others fight to grab the rest of their territory to win the reset.

This happens every map, so how is NoBaddy going to change this? He wrote the map for the enjoyment of all and this is how is he rewarded? Shameful...

Heck, if you think you can do better, go right ahead.

Crowwe.. On other maps the enemies actually try to take eachother's bases.. does this happen in trinity? no. from the very beginning to the near end they never take any of eachother bases. 400 ppl on, it's still the top vs bottom. there HAS to be a reason why it does it on this map in particular..

and crowwe.. i did offer a suggestion, and this thread is more or less a discussion to find a way to fix it. Not a flame thread.

and numbers have no bearing on this whatsoever, numbers fluctuate and the bottom still gets ganged

Rut ...

It may have appeared that way ...

but rest assured that the Knights had their hands full on our northern and northwestern front. Bish took two bases on our mainland and it took some time to get them back. We were also fighting real hard on the Bish west coast trading A199 back and forth numerous times.

As far as the rooks ... we attacked their west coast and A44 and the port below it traded hands a couple of times too and the rooks even went as far as to take A94 and a huge furball ensued for quite awhile until we took it back. We took A55 from a CV and held ot for a short time until the rooks took it back.

So as you can see, both of the other countries were also fighting a 2 front war.

Not saying that they didnt, but when i was there, a39 and A44 were in nit hands and i didnt see much fighting on dar on the nitrook line.. maybe it's just when you play. i came back a bit later, 2-3 hours and we had lost the entire eastern front.. all our resources were at the A1/A4/A5 area.

I guess it isnt as bad from the other perspective.. When bish get one of the upper sides i try to attack the other guys on top.. But with no one else there except some milkrunnin newbies i give up and go to where the fight is.. against the bottom.

I'll try to get a screenie of the dar map when i can..

Rutt...

A1 is a major contributor to the problem. I tried to get it changed with the last update...no go :(. I am hoping that it can be done when the map is updated for AH2. The problem is that A1 is special to the program. If we go screwing with A1, it could hose a lot of other things.

The one small thing I was able to do was to give the southern country more medium fields when I added fields. The north and west got small fields. Sorry, just not anything more that I can do until the map gets updated (HTC's call...not mine).

CC NB, i'm not blamin ya. I just thought you had a bit more control over the map than your average joe - (and i don't really get much feedback trying to talk to HTC) - since you made the map and have edited before. As long as the problem's acknowledged.. If HTC doesnt wanna let you fix it there's not much that can be done then. Thanks for the info :)
