hmm what i dont understand is why , if they have to cut back the air marshal programme, they have to tell the whole world theyve cut back. Surely it would be in everyones interest to make us all think there are marshals on almost every flight.

why give the terrorists information to help them when we could just as easily fool them into thinking its too risky.

This is one area i wouldnt mind being lied to about.

Just give a free round trip ticket to anyone who kills a terrorist on any flight. Or a free one way if it was just someone that looks odd.

It wasn't a cut in air marshalls. It was a cut in support staff.

But it is a lie! It's reverse psychology, designed to provoke the terrorists into revealing themselves!

All red blooded Americans should be allowed to carry personal firearms on American flights!!! That would soon show them!!

The Constitution allows the carrying of arms - why not on planes as well!!

That would mean the cuts would apply only to an increase in support staff and some advanced training, he said. There are no plans right now to cut air marshal jobs, he said. "

Looks like they just wanted to trim the fat.

Maybe I'm slow, but I don't get why this is "left wing slander". The opposition to the cuts consisted of dems AND republicans...

What am I missing?

Also, is any disagreement automatically slander?

Slander by definition is always left wing......I think the right wingers have a version too but am not sure what it's called....
