Something just came to me as an idea to help block the old fuel pork problem.
Of course, as with all ideas, it's really just something to hash out on the board, and probably never see implimented.
As it stands now, it takes several goon trips plus time to re-up the fuel at a base. Fine, this is out of whack with the amount of effort (1 plane, 1 sortie) that it takes to kill it.
Now, we're got a few choices as I can see it. Maybe add one, all or a combination.
A) Raise the repair level of goons. If it takes 10 to bring a fields fuel up, move it to 5, etc. (Numbers up to conjecture)
B) Make the goons offer a choice of being able to carry only aviation fuel. If said goon arrives at field, the next 10 fighters to up can get 100% fuel, no matter what the base is at. This would add an element of gameplay that would allow people to work together. It seems to work with GVs...a man in a tiger gets diabled, asks for resupply/repair over country, gets 2-3 people volunteering. Hell, I enjoy running support missions.
C) Allow goon drivers to choose specific load outs, Fuel, Ord, Ammo, whatever can be brought down. When that Goon arrives, plus 3 more of the same type, that resource is restored. So field 156 fuel is at 25%. Squadron A wants to use that field. Squadron A gets 4 guys in their squad to ferry fuel to 156 so they can conduct air ops with full fuel. Ordinance, and other dead attributes would stay dead, but this would allow folks to choose what to repair and do so more efficiently.
