Question for right wingers
« on: August 13, 2003, 10:43:06 PM »
After seeing Gen. Clark on a couple of talk shows. It sounds like he is going to be throwing his hate into the ring sometime soon. My question for you guys is how are you going to attack a 4 star general that states that this administration needs to be held accountable for misleading the american public? Someone that believes in the Clinton economic plan ( post-keyensian ).

Are you going to stick bush up there with his flight suit next to the general that was highly critical of bush's war plan? and he is the guy that lead us into kosovo and came out without one american death?

i would like to see what kind of negitive spin you can get going on this guy so im ready for fox news's bull**** when Clark makes it official.

should have figured. Cannot even defend their hero , and his misguided war. When the general that lead the troops is now speaking out against the president you know their is a problem.

"highly critical of bush's war plan"

Well that war went terribly for Mr Clark, wasnt he a CNN "gloom and doom" talking head at the time?

As for kosovo you do realize that was only a limited air campaign, then of course we all remember the debacle of the AH-64 Apache deployment and the deaths associated with that, and of course the loss of the F-117 due to faulty tactics, the bombing of the chinese embassy not to mention the emabarrasing capture of some US troops by the serbian army.

Of course now you will attack me for pointing all these facts out...

I can't comment on it, when I haven't seen a thing he's said.  How about providing some links.

Typical arm chair general.

no your right grun. but the fact is we didnt lose a life in that war due to enemy fire. Nit pick all you like.
Btw remember he was highly critical of bush's entire plan for the war. Especially the plan after we took control of the country. You know the one that is costing us a troop or 2 a day. The one that wont have electricity or clean water running untill sometime next year.

He took care of the part that he commanded.

Well it is difficult to reasemble a country after decades of greedy  stalinist dictatorship and economic misguidance.  Look how bad off so many russians are nd there was no "fighting" war.  Plus we know saddam deliberatly cut off utilitiers services to whole parts of the country to pubish/control people.

On average we have allready restored utilities to higher than pre war levels, so please keep that in mind as well for some perspective as to the scope of the existing problem.  Plus I have read lately that Iraqis have such high opinion of US technical abilities that they see any US "not" success as deliberate action as a form of punishment - I imagine it fits in with their paranoia experiences under saddam.

And finally I think both of us recognize that the kosovo war is no way comporabvle to the iraq war so comparisions, especially of the broad type you are trying to make are really inapproriate.

As for him running for president, well god knows the Dems have no chance to challenge bush with the current crop...

The guy with the most electoral college votes wins.

If you are confused as to how a president wins a state, and thereby the electoral votes, this website will help:

Which is my point exactly.  You could check out this page, too:

Bah, I was citing the same source as you!  Since we are on the same page, and obviously both using google, I assume I don't have to look for another.
