A question for AK Deja

Or any other of the statistaly minded...

In the midst of all this turmoil over the present re-supply model, is it possible to extract any meaningfull stats over how much attention is given to the mechanism of resupply?

What I mean is, can we see how many trains/convoys have been hit; either in total, or as a % of trains running?

I've a good suspicion that mission planners are expending all thier effort on the old capture/destroy role, and none or little effort on the interdiction role; and, if that's a correct assumption, then I would indeed expect it to be near impossible to win the war.

That's how strat works. If you don't expend effort to hamper your enemy's ability to transport strategic supplies, you're going to face a well supplied and equipped enemy.

Like wise how often are supply depots the focus of attention? It seems to me that the depot's should be captured *before* bases, not after. If you got the depot, then the near lying bases take damage more readily. If you don't, then the little choo choos will keep repairing your hard work.

Can this be proven/disproven with stats? or am I way off the mark?

Shame  :(

What do you stragegists think of the initial premise, though?

Not enough interdiction missions to support moving the front forward?

Well, seeker, if one could be online and have cooperation for 24 hours, the current system and manipulation of it would work..unfortunately, we have very few players that can dedicate more than a couple hours at a whack on the complicated supply systems/infrastructure that AH offers in V1.08.  The players asked for more strat, and they got it, unfortunately, we still lack the players willing to do multi-tasked missions, one cannot simply do A, then B, then C, without A rebuilding in time to accomplish D.

Deja... where is the top ten list?

Its on hold for now... and that's not by choice.  It will be back up when a few issues are resolved... and it will be better.  The top-100 of all time will also be back and more complete than ever.  It will also include a new and improved way to view what planes the individuals that made the list killed to get those numbers so high.

The code, though well written ;), is part of the problem.  I can't really give it out.
