Go placidly amidst the noise and the haste......

They're still thinking they'll make 3rd Quarter.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

What exactly are we supoosed to get in Q3, a beta or an actual "finished" game?

Yes Q3 ends with September. So they got 6 weeks to deliver or they are terrible evil liers like GWB. ;)

Beta I suspect.... you would have to wait a lot longer for a finished game!  (Like well into next year).  However, with all of us testing, any bugs will be found quickly and the patches will flow fast, I think.  :)

Not neccesarily. Quarters don't start neatly at the 1st of the year. The vast majority of companies that I know of consider the start of Q1 to be the beginning of April (tax season). You may know something about HTC's schedule that I don't... but if they operate like most of the rest, it works like this:

Q1: April, May, June

Q2: July, August, Sept

Q3: Oct, Nov, Dec

Q4: Jan, Feb, March

Based on that, AH2 could be out as late as the end of December and still be within Q3.

But again, not every business does it the same, and that's especially so for the ones that aren't publicly owned and have to publish their annual report in April. Has anyone heard definitively how HTC does it or are we just guessing?

Mr. Toad - you have, in the past, alluded to the possibility that the majority of the changes for AH2 would be in respect of the new graphics engine. It has to be said that the only sneak preview I've seen from HTC was a wing. Not much to go on...

Do you really think the graphics engine is the centrepiece of the new game? It's been in the works for about a year now, which seems an awfully long time to develop a graphics engine.

I'm really hoping the mission arena/TOD proves popular. My squad has fallen apart because of AH1 stagnation syndrome - two more account cancellations this week, bringing the total to about five. And there have been various "buh-bye" threads. Someone once said (and it wasn't me) that the current furball-frenzy gameplay would not sustain long term interest. I'm beginning to see what he meant.

Seems you've missed a few things then - try looking here and here - also this thread has some information:  http://www.hitechcreations.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=91805  At the Con we got to see the other wing - which was full of holes.... every bullet hit will show at the exact point it hit.  :)

There is so much more to it than improving the graphics - the whole interface is being improved too, as well as improvements to the FMs.  :D

LOL - and how many people opened accounts this week, or returned from a break?  A good few more than five I think.  ;)

I've seen both of those - the wing and the sun.

Yes I know that five is a small number, but it was about half the squad.
