I was just reading the help and training section where someone was making the point that no-one reads the manual before they jump into the sim for the first time (who does?)
Ok, i thought, why not let them jump and be able to find a basic manual in the game? Say on the clipboard some basic pages (no more than say 6 or so) outlining real simple things, like a pilots checklist or something.
Stuff like:
- take off check list, taxi procedures, take off procedure.
- basic weapon operation checklist, keys etc, few pointers.
- landing checklist and procedures
- re-arming procedure
- basic bombing checklist and procedure
- basic radio use procedure
- FAQ perhaps.
keep it light and in a checklist kind of format.
Then we can point newbies at the clipboard when they ask basic sorts of questions and they dont have to leave the game to get help.
