Theres two popular in the US, one made for the movie "Spiderman" (Bring me to life) and another one that was just recently released on the radio.

The last month? The past 6 months has been that song atleast 5 times an hour, and I could switch stations... lo and behold, I would hear it beginning when the last station ended it. DJs are tards, and the people that call in requests are tards. Basically, that makes everyone but me a tard, and thats just the way it is.

I still like the song, mostly because I don't listen much to the Pop Rock stations. I'm telling you, almost all rock stations have been over-run by teenie boppers.

Only station left for me to listen to is Classic Rock.

You're probably right Dnil. They both wear gay uber tight red clothes, easy to confuse them. :)

Bah, I don't like that tune very much, might be some perceived 80ness on it that brings to my mind the bad hair on the babes thread.

They are airing Clocks by Coldplay a lot, I like that one.

Other than that I kza'd a fine collection last week that I use as deintoxication from the bad radio at work (yay, both Minongue sisters for the n-th time today!!!!!!):

Sam The Sham & The Pharaohs - Wooly Bully
Rolling Stones - Paint It Black
Rolling Stones - Satisfaction
Rolling Stones - Simpathy For The Devil
Simon and Garfunkel - Mrs. Robinson
Sonny and Cher - I Got You Babe
Steppenwolf - Born To Be Wild
Strangeloves - I Want Candy
Doors - Light My Fire
Animals - We've Gotta Get Out Of This Place

I listen to these, and get in the mood for some Vietcong playing!

Want to listen to some good stuff turn off your radio and go buy albums from  The Get Up Kids, Hot Rod Circuit, Ash, Pavement to name a few.

Well it would be great to get like 0.5 Mbit connection to your car, then you could use internet radio and narrow down your taste alittle...

http://www.shoutcast.com is really great...

I bought the album intending to give it away as a gift... didn't happen  :) I'm still playing it fairly regularly now after a month or so which I can't say for many albums I've bought.

Feeder deserve a mention too, Their last album was particularly fantastic.

Hortlund, if you like that one you should check ut their other stuff, including what they released prior to this one (it's available over, ahem, peer to peer networks :)).

I like 'em. 'Bring me to life' and the other one has just been played too bloody much though.

Yep, they are from Arkansas.

/stereotypes on

Those hicks must be inbred or something! YUCK!

/stereotypes off

Anyway, they ARE a good band.  The entire CD is good, but that "Bring Me to Life" song has been HORRENDOUSLY overplayed.  The first song on that album has become pretty popular lately, too.  I'm growing to hate the local rock stations, they play mostly CRAP, and when they do hear a good song, they play it so much that it turns into crap.  98% of the music created today is crap anyway, and they end up turning the other 2% into crap as well.

I'm in the same boat AKSWulfe is in, the only stations worth listening too are classic rock.  I've got a good one in my area, plays mostly classic rock with a few modern songs thrown in, but they never overplay anything.  Gives a nice mix.  Stupid radio shows on weekday mornings though, seems they were made to entertain 13-year-olds (jokes about genitalia are common).

If you think DJ's pick their own music and actually pull and play songs by request, You ARE the Tard. Playlists are TIGHTLY computer controlled by big corporate types that never set foot in the studio. Ever hear of Clear Channel Communications? They run a large portion of the major radio stations in America along with a few other mega-media corps. The DJ (if he is even in your town, not sattelite fed) is just the monkey flipping the flashing switch to get his banana.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.
