...but we cannot tell you HOW we did it!"

The new communiqué says that in compliance with the orders of Osama bin Laden to strike at the American economy, the Brigades struck two important electricity supply targets on the East coast, according to the Middle East Media Research Institute. The Brigades say that they cannot reveal how they did it, because they will probably have to use the same method again soon. The communiqué also claimed that the operation was meant as a present for the Iraqi people.

The Americans lived a black day they will never forget. They lived a day of terror and fear… a state of chaos and confusion where looting and pillaging rampaged the cities.

I dunno - everyone I talked to in NYC said it was an all night, city wide party.

Thanks Osama!

LOL! Best piece of advice I ever got was "when you have your house built, have 'em put in a GenTran box and buy a generator"....since I've done that, I've only lost power twice in 6 years, had I chose NOT to do it, then Murphy's Law would have applied and I would have lost power about a dozen times by now. :D

This past Saturday I was speaking with my brother's father-in-law who is an executive for Sak's in New York.  He said he happened to be in Atlanta on a business trip when the blackout happened, but the report he got was that employees decided to just spend the night in the store rather than walk back home to sit in the darkness.  The store had emergency generators to run the air conditioner system and the in-store cafe had to cook all of its food since the refrigerators were out, so it was a giant all-night party buffet at Sak's Fifth Avenue.

Gotta say I am really, really impressed at the lack of looting and chaos resulting from the blackout in the US.

My hooligan friends and I looted all the beer and meat from each other's fridges.  Then we launched tear gas canisters at each other, for ambiance.  :D

Well, maybe not that last part.

Out here in the sticks we lose power for 2-3 days several times a year, once lost power for 2 weeks.  Just deal with it!  Flatlanders!!!!  I bet not too many people in the country know how to use an oil lamp with out burning down their house.
