In the MA, no.

In a scenario, yes.  Just don't push the stick forward or your motor will kick off for a second.  And set the convergence so that all 8 guns are synch'd on the same point about 250-300 out for maximum punch.

Hurr I isn't so bad.  I think I was 4 and 2 in the last tour in the Main.  I agree about the convergence stetting.  I think I had a zillion assists with it and by the time I was able to run a bad guy down, some flyboy La-7 would be by to steal the kill from me!:p   Would like to see the faces on the guys that hear the pings from 8 brownings bouncing off thier plane!

Should be interesting in the CT.  Don't stay inverted very long either.....

Might want to try setting convergence to 200, and taking no shot further than that.  Hurri I is one of my very favorites.

The Hurricane 1 will do fine (in this plane setup) as long as you get in close, (200 or less).
The main problem will come from the faster Bf110. It is my understanding that the AH model 110 is actually a post BoB 110 and does have a bit of a speed advantage over the BoB era 110.  If the 110 flies smart and stays fast it will be one tough hombre to pin down imo.

Wasn't the C-4 the version that saw action in the later stages of BoB?

Forget the 110, the AH Hurricane doesn't use 100 octane fuel, so is pre-BoB. Speed on the deck with 100 octane should be about 280 mph, in AH it's 260 or so.

So now we know!

Many thanks to all who took part, definately one of the better frames.

In summation, I think this event proved that while the Hurri I is surprisingly capable in the right hands; the deciding factor was, as is so often the case; efficient team work.

The Hurri's can deal with Stuka's, and, one on one, fair very well with 110's; however, nothing beats good winging and "tactical discipline" when the plane sets are this well balanced.
