My Dad -Updates-

He's out of surgery and apparently it went fine. They ended up doing a double bypass insteal of a triple, and he is in ICU at the moment, thanks for your support.


Now for the recovery..

Hawk, it's going to look pretty scary looking in ICU the first day or two. Rest assured, that's how it looked to my and my family too.

He's gonna do well if he has a positive "I'm gettin' back to better than I was" attitude and you guys all help him with that. There's going to be some "bummer" days too.. especially when doing the breathing exercises.

I'll keep him in my thoughts as well.

hehe mom knows about those breathing tests..

We won't be seeing him in ICU, and I choose not to unless I need to..Or he asks..

i hope for speed recovery. not what happened to me. was stuck with cast for quite a while after i had surgery.

17 years ago my grandfather had a tripple bypass. Still going strong at 92 years of age.
 Lives in Montana with my Aunt and Uncle.

He's walking around now, off the ventalator and stuff.. not sure all of the details just getting small details from grandparents who are staying in the hospital with their son, my dad..

March of 2002 my dad had a triple bypass, just be prepared for the depression he will have for the first 3-4 months.  My dad lost 30 lbs and wouldn't eat or sleep, just wanted to die.  But now he is doing well and is back to his old self, he just turned 80.  My thoughts are with you.
