CH USB Stick Scaling
« on: August 19, 2003, 01:31:42 PM »
I own a full compliment of CH USB gear (Fighterstick, Pro Peds, Pro Throttle)

The Control Manager is set to DirectX button mode & all programming was done with the AH j-stick set-up. I also have the CM axis setting left at default - 100% sensitivity, 0 dead zone.

Here's my question...would those of you who have their' AH stick scalings down pat for pitch, roll & rudder be kind enough to screenshot them and e-mail them to me?

Mine work pretty well for the Typhoon, but seem a bit off for the Yak9 and N1K1.

Thanks in advance.

I use all Ch products too..

On roll  all my sliders are at the top... on pitch all my sliders are at the top and rudder is default. Works great for me.

Open up the CH Control Manager which should be in your Windows program directory. (The latest version of CM is available from http://www.chproducts.com - I have 2.10) Look for the "Direct Mode" icon at the top of the screen - it sits between "direct" & "mapped" mode. You want to hilight "direct" mode if you program your gear with AH joystick set-up.

Now that that's done, calibrate your gear with CM and be sure the componants are showing up in the Windows control panel "gaming devices" calibration windows. If they are, you should be OK.

Open up AH > clipboard> hit "select joystick". All of your devices should appear in the center "joystick" window. Assuming both the j-stick and throttle appear, you need to assign Direct X buttons 1-16 to the j-stick, 17 - 32 to the throttle...along with POV assignments for each. When doing this, be sure you have each device in the center j-stick window highlited when doing so.

If this seems a bit cmplicated, and it is the 1st time you do it, e-mail me topchef@sover.net and I'll walk ya through it.

Good luck
