Terrain Editor Released

Bagpiper, for sure the terrains will be used for Special Events.  I'm sure some of them might find their way into the main arena too.  I don't know if you flew during beta, but the beta terrain was designed by a player, Ogre.  HTC is wisely allowing the energy and expertise of the AH community to do some work for them.

MarkAT, you're my hero.  As for my attitude towards this sim, just so you know, I did one of the first large (over 4000) word reviews of this sim, and I've spent about 300$ of long distance money speaking with the HTC crew before, during, and after this process.  I also refused a free account that was offered to me, and I'm happy to fork over my cash every month.  I love this game and the folks behind it more than anything else I do online (I play over a dozen games regularly online), so I hope you didn't think I was dissing them.  I just don't get what the big deal is with terrain.  I'd rather have naval units or a/c - something that can be used daily in the MA.  If someone comes out with cool pacific terrain or something, and it gets put into the MA, hey that's great, but tell me what the odds are of that happening?

Hmm did I see there that it lets you use airplane and vehicle shapes for building shapes?  Now that is cool - *pictures rows of parked 190's*

I put several bomber, transports, and fighters dispersed around the field, and set them as bombable targets.

It looks just like some of the guncamera film that I have seen.

I will start working on a Gulf of Finland / Southern Finland map.  I hope to include the whole southern Finland, parts of northern Estonia, and the St Petersburg area to the map.  And Karelia, of course.  

Looking forward to some Finland vs Russia scenarios!

And there was great joy in the land, as the BUFF vets sayeth "yes, THIS is what we have been waiting for" Giveth me your parked planes with which to destroy mercilessly. and it was good.
