we have had one or two screens from ah2 and people generally havent been impressed.  ah1 is withering on the vine.  ah2 had better be the cats meow or these boards will need to be unplugged.

Don't know where you got that assumption. I saw AH2 at the con and I was REALLY IMPRESSED with the technology updates. As far as gameplay ... thats another story all by itself and has nothing to do with technology.

to have impressive graphics, AH2 needs to beat at least IL2 or FS2k2 in that aspect.

Slapshot is correct...   It looks very nice!  Alot of work has already gone into this...

And he is right, the work on AH2/TOD isnt about game play issues.  So dont look for the MA to change because of it.

I didnt get to fly it,  but I watched a squadie fly it and he said it had a much better feel and looked so much nicer.  the damage model is way improved as well.

ALF has a clip of it I believe at the combat hanger.

Just to clarify/correct Grimm's observation:

Work in AH2 may not be about gameplay, but TOD is ALL about gameplay, and will utilize the AH2 graphics engine.

But Tout of Duty won't be implemented right away.   Probably will get the kinks out of AH2 before they start up the TOD server.

Don't know where you got that assumption.
====
I didnt get an assumption.  I saw two screens on this BBS posted by HT.  A partial view of a P51 wing and a view of the sun.  Therefore I have developed an opinion and read the opinions of many who replied in the screenshot threads who seemed to mirror my opinion that those two screens really didnt look a whole lot different or better that the current AH.

But it is good to hear that some have actually seen a working build of AH2 and liked it a bunch.  I wasnt at the con.

Im mosltly off the game now because there has been no advance additions in the game for almost a year and it is getting boring and too predictable.  That why I said AH2 had better be the cats meow because I am frustrated with this game and it is losing its value to me as a form of entertainment.

Sounds more like burnout Yeager. I doubt the "new" AH is going to fill the bill.

When one is always frustrated by the slow release of new and exciting things, the new and exciting things never live up to what one is searching for.

Seen it time and time again.

It would be better to suck on the gunbarrel now. Cuz Nirvana isn't the next release..

Just put out the tarps so you don't make a mess.
