I always respected the fact that in the movie they included the UK Lt. (one of their Intel. Officers) explaining that there was significant risk of enemy armored units in the area contrary to the Army level intelligence reports. That's the type of thing that is often 'cut out' of 'war' movies...especially ones made in Hollywood.
