Little work i've been goofing around with :)


Not sure if it's going to be compatible with ah2 yet, but figured I'd try my hand at doing skins.




From the Pilots seat :) The interior will be the next challenge..also trying to figure out why I cant change the spinner to RLM 83 instead of the spiral :) All in all, it's about 75% done.

Anyone have any suggestions for a skin.....

Still waiting on AH2 to make sure work not done in vain...(ie graphics / 3d modelling completly different)

but I am looking for ideas for new skins to resarch, maybe sketch out.........

What would you guys/gals like to see???

Great work! Unfortunately (not realy, but for you) AH2 will have new, more complex models, and higher resolution textures. See the AH2 section of this BBS for more info on the skins. I'm sure HTC will aprove of a skin of such quality.

what are those   bright yellow and pink parts at the end of the cockpit?

and are they suposed to those clown like appearance? its kinda ridiculous

apart from that its a real beuty, hard to belive its AH when looking on the first screenie:eek:

The odd colours in  the cockpit are grids that I made to see where the skins fit the 3-d model.  The resolution was done higher, but was done over the original tiles provided in the AH terrain editor.

Looking at the wing of the P51 in the AH2 Screenshots, It looks as is they're a higher resoloution. Which one, who knows?
But, I'm just taking a swing at skin editing to see what I could come up with. I think it came out all right.

Looking for ideas for more planes..lol
Anyone have a "skin" they'd like to see?

Geez Waffle anyway to lower the size of the Former Soviet Union screenshots? Sitting here on this slow ISDN line is killing me. Makes me wish I had not clicked on to see the partial screen at the top which is nice BTW.

P38 with the sharks teeth on the engines would be pretty  (this is a poor example but this is sort of what I am refering to):




(thumbnails of several other p38 skins haivng nothing to do with above but was interesting collection)

Srry, Lowered the image size


38s might be fun..just waiting for ah2 ...see how much 3d models have changed and / or if existing tilles can be used with them. No answers from HTC yet. Guees they are keeping it iunder wraps pretty good :)
