Flossy, I may not have been clear enough about AOL's policy change. AOL is both an internet service provider and a massive, massive site with all sorts of features.
Like many, I log on to AOL via another ISP, a cable service. I kept access to AOL because it has always been the most user friendly and comprehensive one stop or at least initial feature laden spot on the web.
Until version 9.0, AOL allowed only one persona per account on line at the same time. Obviously that was more profitable for AOL.
But now up to seven people from the same household can log on to AOL with no extra charge. I don't know why AOL did that, but I'm sure glad they did.
Few households have seven people, but many have two or three or four. It is great to be able to instant-message your own family and interact with them on line just as you do with strangers.
Aces High as usual has been technologically astute by allowing separate accounts from the same family on line at the same time. That's great, but now businesses like AOL are upping the competition ante by allowing multiple access from one household account.
I wonder if this is something HiTech Creations has thought about before and what it thinks about this in the future? I was delighted when their monthly fee dropped to become much more competitive. Now I wonder if they are considering multiple access from one account too? If not without extra charge, perhaps with a small additional charge?
It doesn't affect me personally since the kids are grown and gone, and my wife doesn't do Aces High. (Hmmm, then again, with bonus multiple access I might try to talk her into it.)
