Mark Morford, a columnist for the San Francisco Chronicle, last week wrote: "There he is, all faux manly and squinty and artificially buffed up, his gull-wing ears toned down and the thin-lipped brow-furrowed monkey confusion so common to his scrunched little face apparently erased."

Better get the lynching party ready too!!

Probably if we got to work collecting all the debts owed to us we wouldn't have a budget deficit this year. Hell, if we stopped all financial aid we'd probably have a decent surplus.

There will come a time when the US budget problem will get so large, that we will be unable to sell our debt to generate financing.  That's when we will all be screwed.

maybe, but.... as a percentage of gross domestic product, deficits were larger in the early 1980s and early 1990s then they are now. We should be able to manage this debt just fine.

One forgets that there was the other one...he was the one saying something about reading lips and taxes? Bit fuzzy on foreign politics and was wondering - was it watch my lips or read my lips?

Coherent budget plan?  If anything it's a little too coherent.  It's basically "Spend like crazy so we can force the economic cycle to end earlier so we can get re-elected and our term will end before the debt bites us in the ass."

I don't have time to add this all up, but I bet it adds up to a hefty sum:
