I cheat too !

heheh get this :

After spending hours of listening to the "click click click" of the D00D who let his Roger Wilco Transmit Key on "T"... I always made sure that mine was set somewher else... So, I set it to the F12 Key.

Now, on this STIPID UK Keyboard of mine, RIGHT NEXT to the F12 Key is the "Software power off" key (Standby or whatever...)

I'm in hot pursuit with my Wingie Wilbus, a 109 comes screaming from Hi, I shout at Wilbus.. "666666", oooops, forgot to press transmit key...
"click"
REBOOT
...
...


I died 5 Times that way, before switching it to another key...

I maybe wrong, but the click sound is controlled on your FE, not on the other people's connected to RW.

I had the same problem with clicks, until I unticked the "Play mike clicks" box.

If you have it mapped to the T key everyone will get a click whenever you type a t.  It's really annoying to those on the channel.  I'd assign it to the "end" key if it isn't used for something else. (I don't think so.)

I have it mapped to the semicolon button ans yo'll hardly ever use it ... ^ (or the key left of the 1 on the number keys)

Now naturally if i talk and then tpye it will ollays look ike that:

I found the DELETE key to work well. Out of the way and easy to reach... unless you have one of those keyboards with "extra" features.

Related problem: Whenever I start up AH RW starts too...  Only problem, transmit key is remapped to T each time.  I like using ' for my transmit key.  Is there a way to avoid having to reset transmit to ' all the time?

You have to change the "Key Mic" key in AH Key mapping setup, under "Global Keys".

JCY: Play clicks is good to allow acknowledgement without having to say something.  Good in dogfight or when wife is sleeping nearby...
