Great time in CT
« on: August 27, 2003, 10:51:00 AM »
Since Pizza is up, I decided to check out the Combat theater. The map is The Slot and boy, was it a blast.
When I was up there were about 100 people flying, the sky was filled with zekes, wildcats, p-40s and TBMS. There were three fleets slugging it out (2 against 1) and ground vehicles crawling toward bases.
It was the first time I was in CT when the numbers were sufficient to have lots of fun. I wish other Pizza-haters would take note. There is an alternative. If you're bored, check out the CT

I've had a couple of fun nights flying F4F and P40 in the combat theater this week.

Last night I was excited to see 105 people there.

To my utter dismay, what I found was both front-line allied bases porked. Flying almost 2 sectors in an F4F to find a fight? No thanks.

If you just have to pork fuel - at least do it in the MA. I guess the CT is a nice safe place to do this since you don't even risk an LA7 jumping up and challenging you.

Hi,

Unfortanetly there are some lamers which just milkrunnig the fields and/ or porking the fuel. Normally they run away like babys if somebody put up defence.

How about Hard-Core-CT-Milk-Dweeps squad? (sigh)

They just dont have any guts!

Sisua perkele!

The Pizza map may play a larger role than is recognized for increasing the CT's attendance.

How can this be?   beetle assures me that the pizza map is action packed so why would the early war (close fields, action packed) setup in the CT suiddenly get double the normal players?

must be a fluke.

Is that the one where you hit a car with a snowball and the guy chases you down the street with a tire iron?:D

It was good last night. Logged in there were about 35 Allied and 35 Axis. Think it got up to near 100 for a while. Fast and furious Wildcat v Zeke action.

Two thumbs up!

beetle... very few care what it is like when you are up... That is probly why so few care what your opinion is based on those numbers.   The main playerbase flys from about 1500 to 1900 PST.

Was a blast... darn zekes are tough!  you can make em puke several kinds of liquid pretty easy but then they turn and chase you for another 2-5 minutes.   I have seen as many as 5 zekes all smoking at once  in a fur and they were still doing the zeke vertical turn over and over.

Those were great furballs.... maybe 10 planes per side inthe main fur at anywhere from on the deck to 5K.... towards the end the "experten" joined the game and hovered over the fur boring and zooring so it got a lot less intense but... fun nite.

Wrong. Very few? There were 98 online in total when I checked, shortly before noon today. About the same number as in the CT at the time you were "having a blast".

Yeah Beet...

100 cruising the wide open spaces of the AK Desert gives exactly the same kind of action as 70 fighting between A9 and A10 on the slot map.

Planes launching so close together in the Slot that when you take off, you can see the dots as they lift off of the enemy airfield.

You're absolutely right, it's exactly the same.

:D

Enjoy the Desert.
