Scoring system - death count seems wrong
« on: August 28, 2003, 05:04:04 AM »
The number of deaths shown on the SCORE sheet does not seem to tally with the number of deaths on the STATS sheet. My death tally in fighter planes is given at 123 on the score sheet. But when I refer to the stats sheet, and add up the number of deaths for each fighter type, it adds up to only 110. I tend to think that the stats version is correct. I have died 3 times in a 109F4 this tour, and can remember each incident individually. This stat is correctly reported on the stats page, which leads me to believe that the scores page does not tally the number of deaths correctly, or that there is another scoring mechanism at work that I don't know about. There have been occasions when I have bailed when I've realised that I've taken off from a wrong field, or there are no cons left and it seems pointless to fly all the way back when I haven't any kills to land. Do these bails count as "deaths"?

The score page counts ALL deaths, the stats page only records deaths in which someone else received a kill.

So if you die to ack, or ditch in the middle of nowhere, it will be reflected in your score, but not on the stats page.
