It was truly a scary town of people too freakish for the movie Deliverence:)

But this doesn't do the scene justice either.  We, my AR group, drove down and going through the town I thought I was passing through some combination of ill-kept graveyard, junkyark, and abandonment of homes.  Some looked to be mere husks, but I'm sure they were occupied, though I didn't see anyone in the poked out eyes of the houses. Even the bars looked decrepate, crusty and grungy.

We didn't leave post at all. There wasn't anything around to see.
