fact is reflected in US alcohol related/caused road deaths - more than 30 times the number that we have here, and the number of DUI arrests is in the region of 1.5
million annually. Geez, I even included hospital stats about cirrhosis of the liver - more than six times as many deaths caused by that than occur here for the same reason, and even if you scale up the UK tally to allow for population discrepancy, the number deaths from cirrhosis of the liver per capita in the US is 1.6 times greater than in the UK, and 75-80% of those are caused by alcohol abuse.
What more proof do you want?
I suppose next you'll be saying that the highest incidence of liver cirrhosis is amongst poor blacks, gangs and ethnic minorities and therefore doesn't matter.
