I can't speak to others on this, but as an incredibly old man, I thouroughly enjoy listening to all the young pups and their opinions. Truth is, Wolf has to shut me up when some young hero starts talking about "flying" a mustang, or a 109...
(this dosn't FEEL right! the stall speed is to high!! the performance envalopes are all wrong! the guns aren't effective enough!) Wolf is, and will always be, an airman. This differs from a gamer in many ways, not the least of which is a burning desire to fly....Most of the on line people are gamers, with a few drivers(pilots) thrown in. Wolf is bossy, short on patience, and very air oriented. In short, he reminds me of me many years ago. As for correcting his(or anyones) spelling, or asking who's on drugs, well, I wouldn't want anything to do with someone who spends all their time looking for any small mistake, unless he was my crew chief, then it's more than OK!LOL! I have met a few of you at the different conventions, and it seemed that all ages interfaced. As an old "airman" I find I can relate to any other fliers, for the most part. I don't think its about age, it is about being a kindred spirit.
All fliers belong to the same club,no matter what they fly or flew. the speak a different language, talk about the same thing, and never tire of "hangar stories" .I know some of you have no idea what I am rambling on about, and that's ok too...As for me, I never wanted to hang with a bunch of imature drunks ether. Feel free to correct my spelling and sentence structure....I don't mind at all...DukeMskt.
