This is Austin.  They don't let people pee in the water, much less dump chemicals in it.

I'm no expert..but I can assure you that I wouldn't swim, or eat fish from, some lake built for the purpose of providing water to a power plant.

Nor would I swim in the heated run-off from a "cooling lake".

If that makes me a moron..so be it.

Who tells you guys that there is "no pollution" other than heat anyway?  I think you will find it is the spin doctors hired by the plants who do most of that.

Udie...I'm sure that you are right and that this particular Lake is fine...but you acknowledge that Texas water is so full of mercury there are warnings to not eat the fish or swin there.  I'd be very, very sceptical.

They don't say to NOT eat the fish :D  It depends on the lake, but most of them that have warnings that I have seen say not to eat more than about 2.5 lbs of bass every month.  Catfish and other edibles don't hold the murcury in their bodies like bass do.  I think I remember reading that it stays in the eyes of the bass.  Well I don't know anybody who eats bass eyes!

and you're not a moron Curval  and say hello to Bob Marley for me ;)

[edit]

I CAUGHT THE BIGGEST FISH I'VE EVER CAUGHT LAST SATURDAY!!!! 25.5" 8.0 LB BLACK BASS!!!!!!!
