Base air defenses

Instead of just having the 37mm gun emplacements, can each base also have manned 88mm guns that can be used in both anti-armor and air defense rolls?   And have the 37mm gun emplacements strictly for AA, instead of the duel role they have now.  Maybe even add some manned 40mm gun emplacements also to compliment the 37mm gun emplacements.

Both 37mm and 88mm AA guns (or their #" equivilant) were commonly used as anti armour guns. (on all sides)

In fact  they were often mobile and  used in battle field situations.

I would love the manned 88mm field gun to be fixed (its presently porked in the TE) and used.

I would further welcome a truck that could tow and deploy these weapons to battle field positions.........especially as the new TE features forest canopy cover and opportunities to hide behind stuff.

Even better if the truck can tow katyusha or werbel whats its.

Emplacements with .50's and 20 MM's would also be a nice option.

That's actually a pretty cool idea.  Put the barrage balloons over the towns, ports, HQ and major factories.  A side benefit would that it would slow down the suicide pork and auger player.

Basically the cables would damage the planes and make them crash.

To prevent low flying attacks/strafing runs.  The cable would snag the wings and slice them off.  Sometimes explosives would be strung on the cables so when the wing would snag the cable, it would drag the cable down until it reached the explosives and detonate.

guys under barrage balloons had plenty of worse stuff raining on them, the balloons would have helped keep the aircraft from flying over them and that was the idea in the first place.

Aircraft would not fly into the balloons (would you?) so they worked in keeping them away. They were set up over the transports on D-day to help with dive bombers and straffing (the allies controled the air at this time so this was not a big problem)

They were cheep and easy so why not have them up
