"I was ecstatic they re-named 'French Fries' as 'Freedom Fries'. Grown men and women in positions of power in the U.S. government showing themselves as idiots," he told Stern.

I agree with him on that point.

Childish, maybe. However, it does convey the anti-french sentiment still held by many Americans. So many that if Germany once again decided to annex France there would be many Americans violently opposed to offering any help to France. Go for it Germans, here's yer chance.

You underestimate the value we Americans place on friendship and loyalty and the anger we feel when betrayed.

You fail to realize that the vast majority of Americans have no idea what goes on in Congress and therefore our representatives (pulling in $154,700 a year) can pretty much waste our tax dollars on whatever publicity stunt they feel fit.

The fact that the Committee on House Administration took time to address this pet project makes me ill.

This is rich. France disagreed with the U.S. position on Iraq and this is somehow betrayal.

Another opinion brought to you by Fox news. Be sure to tune in folks!

^ You act as if this is the first time France has sided against us.

I've disliked the French looooong before Iraq.

It was only the latest of many betrayals by France. When you look at the larger picture which includes the safety and survival of our way of life and France's opposition to helping us at every opportunity it becomes clear who our friends aren't. Of course we've been over and over this many times here on this bb so I'll no longer belabor this point. At least until there is another jab to our back.

Depp's immigration to France and his insults from there just opened the wound a bit.

At least AKIron and Mighty1 are right on one point : I'm not your friend and will never be.

qu'est-ce que je m'en fout de votre opinion ...c'est dramatique à quel point je m'en tape.
