Hey... I got an idea!  

After reading the two "Antidote" threads, I thought that it would be really interesting to see the P-51D versus Fw190A5 squadron level duel repeated now that the Flight Models have been fixed.

Can the very superior Luftwaffe pilots  (their own words) still be able to take out the Opportunist little girl US pilots in a best 2 out of 3 ?

I would do it, but after watching what happened after the rumble I'm not in anything close to that. Had enough with what happened then, sorry.
 
But my guess is that Fw190A5s would whipe P51's out of the sky again   . If the P51s dont run to acks ,thats it   .

Or, a Dueling Arena.  Two 15K fields, 20 miles apart, surrounded by a ring of 50K mountains, with a rugged "unditchable" deck, and full radar coverage.

Just get everyone OTR, say "GO", and the last team with a dot on radar wins.

Right-on Popeye.  All we need is a terrain that will allow for a very simple ROE, such as you suggest.

Fly when ya hit GO, timelimit, the team with the most standing wins.

Of course it won't PROVE anything, but it would still be fun.  

Wait, I want to prove that a squad-level dual can be simple and fun.  Maybe we could prove that.

If it was you and I it would be fun but the problem is that the people who would get involved seem to have different agendas, thus no matter who would win the recriminations would fly.

That is what I meant in my post.

I'm likin the terrain idea.. but I heard the new Med terrains gonna up in the SEA real soon, too. That might work if we can't get a 'duel arena' mounted on a HTC server.

In any case.. I'd really want this to be fun.. no politics. Lets not run a rehash of the Debacle.

In fact; if I'm gonna fly in this I insist it be FUN!

I would ref, but only if it is understood that afterwards we don't have the winner immediately run to the MA and begin baiting the other side- it got pretty ugly last time.

By switching planes each set, as well as setting 5 frames; I think we'll have far more winners than whiners.

I hope.  

Mebbe even fly even a frame or two pony's vs a8's. Just for fun.  

Anyway.. since this was Verm's idea, I suggest we elect him Dogcatcher fer this gig.

i think we should fly with switching planes too, if you do it that way im in, im not loyal to either "country" and i think only flying 1 countries planes is discriminatpry
