Erratic Frame Rates

Hi Guys,

Have recently returned to AH are a couple of months off.

Nothing has changed on my machine. The only difference is that the connection is now adsl instead of cable.

I have loged on for my first flight to find that my frame rates are jumping from anywhere between 18 to 73. Regardless on the amount of activity around me. (previously they were steady around the 50 - 60 mark)

It was suggested that it was a memory leak. But being non technical I dont know how to check for that.

Any ideas???

Ok...

I'd suggest getting Ad-aware http://www.lavasoft.de
and also Spybot, search and destroy.

Run those on your system.  If you have kazaa on your machine, get rid of it.

Do a virus check.


Have you noticed this occuring in any other games?

Also check to see if anything is running in the background while playing AH.  Turn off ALL anti-virus programs while playing also.

Thanks Skurj. My computer has been packed away for some time and I only play AH. I'm O/S at the moment but when I get back I'll run those programs you mentioned.

I had noticed it was for some reason running a little slow. I'd optomised it, but didn't have time to trouble shoot before I had to pack for my trip.
