Ah... "Killstealer!"... the battle cry of the guy that can't manage more than 2 pings on any plane.  It's pretty easy to call the "killstealer!" skilless... especially since it was the accuser that failed to do enough damage to get the kill.

People are flying around in hordes so much these days that they forget excactly what "skilled" means.

Woohoo!!!

I am honoured! :)

I've been flying the Yak9U as my main ride.

Guess I kind of lost it after the umpteeth kill got shot up several 1000ft below.

You all have valid points from the "crybaby" replies, to the supportive ones.

Nopoop- I'll try harder next time. Could you drop me a line and let me know what I need to do to get into the 9s?

It's real easy... next time someone steals your ice cream, don't sit there stamping your foot and crying until your mom comes by and changes your diapers.

I love it when they dive on your kill and midair the wreckage like happened tonight. Right after that I discovered that if you get too close to an enemies six and shoot with cannon rounds you can shoot yourself. So now I am wondering what the magic range is.

I believe that it is every players duty to ensure that all 'crippled' planes are in fact dead.  More than once I've 'played dead' only to go back and get a few more kills.  It works especially well if you lose a wingtip, and can recover from it.

uh, you can't shoot yourself

you can run into wreckage or you can killshoot yourself to death if a team mate pops in front of you but your bullets don't bounce back and hit ur plane :)

Well your wrong. I fired from a steady 5ft with hispanos and for every hit sprite I put into my target I took a hit. Nothing else could have shot me. The same thing has been reported by my squadmates.

Cannons have explosive rounds.  The explosives can damage you if you are close enough.  That is why you can kill somebody with cannonfire while vulching when you missed and only hit the runway.  The other night I killed a P-38L and an N1K2-J by doing a sort of S shaped hit pattern on the runway between them with my Mossie's cannons.  Of course I meant to hit them directly, but at low speed the Mossie has poor lateral stability.

You can test this quite easily offline on the target drones.  Get real close with a cannon armed aircraft and hit the drone.  Back to the tower you go.

You can't shoot yourself...period. Something else was going on that you either failed to see or understand.
