Does George Bush need my help?

I've never supported a president as I do this one. I truly believe he is an honest man who cares about the welfare of Americans.

I surely want to see him re-elected and was wondering what I could do to help his campaign.

Financial donations are out of the question as every dollar counts.

Anyone have any advice on who to contact.

Also, anyone see that Showtime movie DC 9/11 last night?

How close to the mark do you think that was? The NY Times said it did not airbrush the president, but to me, it seemed a little too good to be true.

No need to do any more than you're already doing, Muck. You've been hoodwinked for another four years, and that's all that Bush needs from you.

You just go on believing that Bush cares about the average working Joe, that's what he wants you to believe.

Personally, I also believe that Bush cares about this country, but not for the fair and balanced benefit of all Americans. He is a wealthy businessman who cares most about making the wealthy wealthier.

You're eventually going to realize that you been had, but it will probably be ten years before the truth is revealed. By that time, your job(and probably mine) will be farmed out to some foreign country.

Muck, if you have the time to spare, you could always inquire with the Administration about volunteer campaign work.  Somthing as simple as distrubuting election signs around your locale can be had.

I'm quite touched by your concern for my employment, but frankly, my business and personal financial situation have never been better.

Of course, I'm not in a position to make a political contibution of any worth, but that will come in time.

Meanwhile, my career progresses nicely, my family is safe and prospering, and my country is coming out of a recession.

So, back to my original question, banana's help not withstanding, what can I do to help President Bush's campaign?

Rebecca Ashford of Mississippi, whose presence at the event was made possible by the Bush tax cuts, looks on adoringly as President Bush outlines his plan to slash government services and engage in preemptive wars across the Middle East.  
Washington, D.C.--Political and economic analysts say that the Bush tax cuts have already put money into the pockets of ordinary American GOP fundraisers and donors who are, in turn, putting that money back into the political economy in the form of campaign contributions to Bush's reelection effort.

President Bush kicked off his re-election campaign with a fund-raiser that took in an estimated $3.5 million from a hotel ballroom full of people with a personal financial stake in keeping him and the Republican Party in power. Those present hailed almost exclusively from the top one percent of the tax bracket.

Nearly 200 co-chairmen of the event, each of whom promised to raise up to $20,000 selling tickets to the $2,000-a-person reception, mingled with more than 1,000 other supporters who were served hot dogs, hamburgers and nachos while hearing Mr. Bush begin making a case for four more years in the White House.

"I think it's great what President Bush is trying to do with the tax cuts," Rebecca Ashford of Mississippi said. "Many wealthy people in America need a strong leader in Washington who will look out for their interests and be sympathetic to their plight. George W. Bush is our voice in the White House."

Ashford said she would have had to choose between the fundraising event and a three-month vacation in Europe if not for the Bush tax cuts.

"Now I can do both," she said.

Mr. Bush's potential Democratic rivals, struggling to raise a fraction of the money that the president seems certain to amass, kept up their portrayal of the administration as a tool of the groups that contributed to the campaign.

"Unfortunately for them, in American democracy money talks and suckers walk," Republican strategist Gerald Horace said. "The American people want a President that can raise a lot of money quickly from wealthy donors and corporate citizens. That shows that he is on the side of the good guys."

Bush expressed his appreciation for the large showing at the event of needy millionaires struggling to hold on to their multiple real estate holdings and large stock portfolios.

"Your support is laying the groundwork for a strong nationwide effort next year leading to four more years of budget defecits and preemptive wars," Mr. Bush told his audience. "Your support is going to help us launch a devastating attack on Social Security and Medicare in our ongoing effort to privatize more and more government services."
