13 in one vulch pass. Pickled both of my 1,000lb bombs on the runway spawn point and ended up almost taking out an entire mission that had spawned. Only a formation of bombers that had spawned another another runway survived the carnage.
Ahh, that takes me back to the old DOS Air Warrior, where I had a similar event, except that mine was a
lot more shot full of luck... Back in DOS AW when closing an airfield required that you put 12 bombs on the runway, I was making a bombing run on (IIRC) B80 at an altitude of 30,000'; I'd lined up, made my drop, and was watching for the bomb strikes when this massive string of "A kill has been recorded." messages started flooding my message buffer. Getting a dozen vulch kills from 30,000' is an accomplishment I don't think I'm ever going to get again.
I still get a chuckle thinking about the members of that squad... launching for a mission, then *BOOM* they're back in the briefing room, and when they try to take off again, the field's closed. (and two minutes later, we captured the field anyway, so they were totally SOL there) Sometimes life is good.
