How hard can it be to get it right for once?
Ain't that the truth. Not sure who made it (think it was British) but the film 633 squadron had unarmed German reconnaissance Storchs strafing airfields, shooting down mossies etc. Guns of Navarone had the Germans running around in M3's - I loved these films as a kid but now I just sit and complain like a grumpy old man.

This has "Pearl Harbor" written all over it.... shudder.

If you're looking for something good to watch get the "Piece of Cake" DVDs. A few nitpicks with that series but excellent overall.

I didn't realize the movie was out. Must be, what with all the critical reviews. Of course I realize that Hollywood is in the entertainment business and many movie producers care little for historical accuracy. Still, maybe we should wait and see?

WWII movies haven't been the same without David Niven nor since "The Square Peg" _(1958) when Norman Wisdom and the English army won the war.

Nevermind the technical details, why can't Hollywood even get a proper salute right????  Something so simple is impossible for them to get right.  *sighs...

Well... considering that quite a few still can't get it right even while active... I'm willing to let it slide... :)

Nevermind the subtle differences between U.S. services.

What bugs me most are uniforms and haircuts... I figure... if they can't get the simple stuff like this right, the rest is even more difficult to believe.

I like how all the stars can walk around on post without any headgear on.

Actor: This silly hat will mess up my hair, do I have to wear it?

Director: I don't see why you should, it's only a hat.
