Looks like NVidia has a lot of work to do. Radeon 9800 2x faster than 5900 Ultra. Also Radeon 9600 looks solid. Glad I grabbed a 9500 Pro a few months back and not an NVidia card.

I've had a 9700 Pro for a year, preordered it before it was released, saved a little bit that way.  Regardless, it was the most expensive single piece of hardware I've ever bought.  It was also the best hardware purchase I ever made.  Not only is it still right up there with the top of the line stuff, it looks like it'll stay that way for a while, and remain useful for a long time after that.

Well that is crappy news for 9700pro users.

9800 and 9600 have pixelshader 2.0 , 9700 has 1.0

Thats why you dont seee 9700pro listed...

Its a software issue not a hardware thingie so why dont they just updgrade us in driver ?

Sunking if its only a software thing, then the easy fix is to load your vid drivers manuallyand choose the 9800 pro option.
They will install and run without problems.
