Was Mosby the guy that cut loose from Quantril and started his own band of marauders.  Whoops that was "Bloody" Bill Anderson.

I know I heard Mosby's Raiders, I will remember.

Here's a nice painting of Col. Mosby and his troops:

It's called "While the Enemy Rests" by Mort Kunstler

More of the same here:

He is right, and the Confederates are over modeled too. The horses and the confederates are too fat.  Eat 1/2 lb Rancid Bacon and 1/2 pint of corn meal every day for three years and see how heavy you are.

Hi Guys,
great hearing from y'all.
vadr nice painting-thanks for the link  Had a great time flyin with ya in scenario Rip.
Downtown on a side note it was Mosby's rangers not raiders. You are correct though about the rations-the same applied to clothing and ammunition at their disposal.Considering this I find it amazing they stood toe to toe against 3 times their number for 4 years.I chose my id as a simple way of remembering them <S>

Nice to see arkanreb picking a cool handle. Hope you do well with the arabian knights. They are a class bunch of guys.

As for the reference to the war of northern agression.     Thomas Jonathan (Stonewall) Jackson was an interesting fella. Read a few books about him. He died too soon. I also read somewhere that the germans studied his tactics as late as WWII.

You'll find quotes from several WWII-era German Staff officers that would seem to indicate that Lee's 1864 defensive campaign and Jackson's 1861/62 Shenandoah efforts were subjects of study at the Heer Staff school.

Personally, Second Manassas and the campaign leading up to it are my favs.

Well, I must say that I am a little disappointed with your joining the Arabian Knights.  Not cause I don't like them or anything (they are all pretty good people).  I will miss the good fights that you and I have had now that you are on my side now.

Well, at least I can breathe easier with you clearing  my six instead of trying to kill me from my six.
