Help Saving settings!!!! HELP
« on: September 12, 2003, 03:14:01 PM »
my wife and I have profiles in Win2k with over 1.2G of info each.

I have a problem with my win2kpro and cant seem to repair it. Everytime i try, it tells me that I have a program that hasnt completely installed and it tells me to log off, log on, let it the program run, then retry to install win2k pro again. Thing is, it doesnt tell me what the freakin program IS!!!

Went to "Safe Mode" and it STILL wont install to repair. SOOO, it must be my Win2kpro that wasnt installed correctly?

Anyhow, I could clean install it, but my wife would hang me if I lost all her email and settings..

So is it true? will I lose it if I do a clean install over the exhisting one? as well as mine?

or, how to save the profiles? my cd burner max is 750mb?

IDEAS IDEAS???

If all you have is a CD burner, then you will just have to split up the files so you can get them across 2 CD's (or more).

The settings for each user are split across many, many folders, so it should be no problem to accomplish this.
