Here's the skinny on the AFAA and Flying Tigers reunion at the Museum of Flight in Seattle the weekend of June 6, 2004. The MOF is having its grand opening of the new fighter wing and the American Fighter Aces and Flying Tigers will be having their respective reunions probably starting Thursday the 3rd of June.
If you are a member of the Friends of the Aces, you will be able to buy a dinner/hospitality room package and hang out with the aces. For information on joining the Friends of the Aces, please contact Cheryl Dart at
cdart@museumofflight.org. If you do not belong the the Friends or buy the package, you will not be able to attend the functions particular to the Aces. These packages usually include two dinners, a breakfast, admission to the Aces hospitality room and admission to the autograph session.
I've been to two Aces reunions and they are truly a lot of fun. You get to talk to the aces and hear their stories about combat and everything. With the addition of the Flying Tigers to the opening, it's going to be quite the event.
