The victorious German High Seas fleet has entered St. Petersburg, and planted the German flag in the Tsar’s former residence of Tsarskoye Selo. Unfortunately for the Kaiser, he is unable to take advantage of this development because there are no free German home supply centers in which to create a build. That being said, the capture of the Russian capital is sure to get the Tsar’s attention. German forces also fended off a determined Italian attack in Munich.
The Russian Tsar has apparently consoled himself of the loss of his capital by capturing the Austrian capital of Vienna. This allows him to create a build this season, giving him an equal number of units as his Teutonic foe.
France continues to consolidate itself at the expense of Italy, and has even extended a hand of assistance to the Archduke, fortified in Trieste.
In Scandinavia, German and French forces continue to pound away at the fortress of Norway. With the arrival of the German army in Sweden, the future of Norway is not looking good for its Russian occupiers.
Turkish forces were beaten off by a joint Austro-French coalition in Trieste. How long can Austria hold out? It’s looking like she’ll need a bit more help in order to survive the combined attentions of Russia and Turkey.
Italy, while still split in two, could sway the balance of power in the near future. Who will she side with? Ambassadors from all nations soon may be beating a path to the Italian King’s court.
