the engine, tranny and front end is probably 1/4 mile down the road.
a few years ago I was headed down I-84 late at night, and I noticed there was no oncoming traffic. then I see an engine and transaxle in the middle of the freeway. a bit later I see a tire, then another, a couple hundred yards and I see the drivers seat complete with a piece of the floor still attached, from there the next hundred or so yards was just littered with debris. then I came upon the ambulance and the 6 or so cop cars, with a car wrapped around the top of a light pole (laying over at about a 30 deg angle) and about 4 light poles that where down (bolts are made to sheer at the bottom for safety) each folded at a gradually increasing hight, you could picture the car going airborn and catching each pole at a higher point.
anyway the point is there wasn't any more of that car left than the one in the pictures above. and actually they are fairly simular in what was left wrapped around the final stop.
