If both caps and lower case will be allowed how will something like the following be avoided?
Gringo
gringo
GRINGO
GRINgo
etc.
Warbirds already has things like -blue-, blues-, --blue and that causes enough confusion.

Case is allowed in id's but the uniqness of each id is not case sensitive. So even when you tune your radio for HiTech you could just put in hitech.
