Mitsus' sounds don't work!

Hey gents!   I installed Mitus' sounds.....used 98SE before and they worked just great!!  However I've dloaded and installed the new patch....after upgrading to win2KPro.....and the sounds are in the right folders....but they will not for some reason work??

When I sample them in the various plane type folders they work fine.....however when I get into the game....the generic AH sounds are the sounds I get.

I also dloaded all the gunsights...guess what....appears they are to large....and do not show up on the list in gunsights...but show up in the gunsight folder...what's up?

Help would be appreciated!

are u realy sure they are unzipped in the "Souds" folder ????
i mean following the correct path:

C:\..... where u have put it.......\HTC\Aces High\sounds

mitsu's sounds go in "aces high" folder, not the sounds folder in game

WIN2K may be your issue.  Not a favorable gaming platform.  However, make sure the"sounds" folder is the Mitzu sounds.  If not, rename it oldsounds or some such and then the other to "sounds".  Also, have you Downloaded any of the latest drivers for DirectX and WIN2K, and any service packs??

I think the gunsites may need to be reset in the setup portion of AH.  Start AH, then Setup, then select the gunsight option and reset them,  then save it.  The size may be due to your screen resolution changing with WIN2K vs WIN98.  (may have different drivers for the monitor)

Just a few suggestions.  You may also just reinstall AH and redo everything from scratch.  At least that way you know it will all be adjusted under WIN2K.

This is not correct. Win2000pro is just as good for gaming as XP if you have the latest service pack and updates. It's actually better than XP.
