AH2 lite version
« on: September 21, 2003, 08:46:26 PM »
Would HTC release an AH "lite version" [remember the times when you had to download a less "eye-candy" version of AH?]  for those who have PCs 700mhz or lower? I think if HTC plans to release a "lite version", it would save players $5000 or more just to gear up on AH2.

You should slap yourself for not upgrading to a cheapo "fast" system.   $100 bucks will get ya a 1.2ghz AMD cpu + motherboard... RAM = 40 bucks more.

No one is forcing you to upgrade, but you should "get with the times" :D

i speant about 250$ -=without video card/monitor=-
on a t-bird 1.2 ghz, a bit of ram (had some useable pc100 stuff laying around) and an abit kt7a - a new case/ps

this was 2+ years ago.. your getting riped off if you pay more...and no i didn't buy it off the net .. got it from loacal dealer (not compusa, bestbuy etc.... i mean, a real guy ... mom and pop .... you know real people)

and if you don't know how to build a computer .. learn ... it's as easy as pluging in your DVD :)... almost.

in this day and age I wouldn't pay much more than 100-130$ for a mobo or chip unless it's top of the line .. and you don't  need 3.xGhz I imagine.... 1-2.x Ghz will do just fine... just be wise on your chipset choice

My first computer only cost £850, and that came with a scanner and a printer.

your gonna have problems finding a board that combines a p4 and pc133.  In fact, I dont think they ever existed.

Dude, get yourself a p4/mb/ram combo for next to nothing.

and why on earth would you want a lite version?  ISNT THAT WHAT WE ARE PLAYING NOW!!!!!!

What Zanth said. Newegg is even running a bundled combo of a biostar mini atx MB with a 1800 AMD xp for $63. I don't even need the hardware but I'm still tempted to buy it because it's so cheap :)
