Okay.. so I've had the hots for this chick that works at Kinko's where I get my coppies done for work.  So I ask her out.. she say's yes..  First date in a year lol..

So I pick her up and find out she's a Vegetarian..   Otay.. time to back peddle really fast..I had mentioned a really good steak place over the phone.. she sounded okay with it over the phone maybe she was nervous about telling me she was a Viegan..anyhow I pull out with the I'm not in the mood for steak howabout pasta.

Frist date.. is now history..  so do any of you gents date/married/are  Vegetarian's.  If so how do you work around people that eat meat. I've done local search's for places that are listed for Vegetarian rest. but theres very few that come up..

My best friend's GF is a vegie.  He says it's no big deal because most restaurants have plenty of pasta/salad/non-meat fare.

Now, if your Kinko's chick is one of those vegies that not only doesn't eat meat, but can't stand to watch OTHER people eat meat, then run.

I've found that vegetarian chicks usually have other issues.  They aren't just obsessive about food.  But nutty chicks can be good in the sack.  It's a toss up.  I usually put up with it for a while, then start making fun of them.  Of course most (err all) women I date end up hating me.  :D

If she is vegetarian, she is probably just mildy crazy, about normal for women.  If she is a Vegan-run like the wind!

Vegan is gonna be tough.  In theory, she won't eat anything made with meat, fish, or dairy products.  That means no bread or pasta made with eggs or butter, etc.

If she is strict about it, dump her now.  :)

Some of them will have a chink in their armor.  Like they will eat seafood or chicken or something.  See if you can find an opening there.

I agree with Funked, Veggies often have other issues, not all. Some become vegetarian for good sensible reasons but most in my experience are 'away with the fairies'.  It's usually not just about healthy eating.  You also mention her being nervous telling you she was vegan. Vegan is a whole differnent ball game. No animal products whatsoever, including leather, wool etc. Seriously obsessive and smelly feet too. Scary.

Generally, Chinese, Mexican and Italian cuisines are going to be the easiest in terms of accomodating both types of diets. All have ample dishes which are, or can be made, veggie only. Some women will tend to shy away from the pastas available in Italian foods over weight gain issues but there are some fantastic sauces out there and it would be a shame to miss 'em.

Indian curries are also excellent in the all-veggie diets -- and can be combined w/ Chinese cooking to create some tremendous stir-fry dishes.

Many authentic Mexican dishes are also meatless as they don't eat as much meat generally as Americans do.

Some Mexican food may not have chunks of meat in it, but there is very damn little that is not slathered with animal fat.

Well.. I can say I'm not 100% on Vegan course..I guess more so of the Vegetarian ideal..  she explained it to me and has no issues with other people eating meat..

Considering she did have Minstrone soup for her main course....I would rule out the Vegan possiblly??
