I'm reading the book now. It's pretty good, but I don't think "Unconditional Surrender" Grant will be a good Hollywood leading man type. He is not very flashy. Grant is the focus of a substantial portion of The Last Full Measure. It will be interesting to see how he is portrayed.

I hope they focus the movie is on the last part of the book maybe from shortly before the fall of Richmond (that is where I'm at in the book-about 2/3 through) to Lee's surrender. Otherwise it will need to be too deluted to even fit into a 4 hour movie.

The last DVD I bought was the multi-disk version of Blackhawk Down. It was worth it just for the veterens comment track.

A friend saw it and recommended it to me. I enjoyed it. Tim Allen is great in the flick.
