Smoke!

I had an idea, and i dont think it has even been brought up before.  (I do not know a lot about it, so if you do could you please tell me about it!)

In WWII ships often laid smokescreens to avoid being attacked, whether by air, or by other naval vessels.  This would be good in AH if the destroyers could lay a smokescreen to obscure the CV from enemy cruisers or inbound bombers/suicide weenies.

Here are some pictures of the Tirpitz using smoke to try and obscure itself from Lancasters.

In these pictures they released the smoke too late, and the ship took a beating.

I am not ashamed to confess that I am ignorant of what I do not know.

one of the SFMA airfields (A18?) is above the wind floor, and once it's been porked looks nearly like that, in black.

It's a good idea, hopefully it can be implemented but as always, there's the concern about how much all this smoke would affect the ever important frame rate. Maybe there's a way to do the smoke effect without too much of a hit on frame rate, especially with all the other stuff usually going on around a cv.

Having smoke from destroyers is a great idea as it would make it necessary to sink the destroyers whitch are usually ignored
