New hangars vs Arado in 1.07

According to HTC news hangars will be more distant in 1.07 to stop double kill with one drop, and it is fine, that is how it shall be. But here arises another problem.

Right now Arado is used very rarely in MA, because it is very expensive and not usuful enough. But it is still a great buff for strikes into enemy territory to get fh's. Right now arado can kill fh's at both small and big field.

But in 1.07 it will be impossible to kill both fh's in a small field with the arado load. And that will make Arado's perk price even more unjustified.

I think it is not right. Not sure what can be done (arado more cheap? hangars less robbust?) but it really shall be some decision to be find.

I used an arado the other night to kill the enemy barracks at 3 seperate fields, all across the front. This shuts down their ability to take bases for a while, killing FH's, unless their city is down, isn't really good use of an Arado in my opinion. The FH's will just about be back up when ya touch down.

I'm for making FH's a lil more difficult.
I enjoy a furball, and to see it shut down just because somebody's bored (no intention of taking the field) can be annoying.

Get a squaddie/countrymate to take one up with you.  Gives you twice the bomb load plus someone to keep you company!

For all the whining about buffs recently it seems odd that changes are made that only serve to justify the incredibly accurate norden. If they were to pack more targets into an airfield, give us some dispertion and some realistic bomb damage they could take away the accuracy of the norden and let buffs bomb in a more historical way. To push targets further apart does the complete opposite. Getting new planes is very nice and certainly draws attention to AH but as far as strat goes it feels like this sim is stagnating, perhaps some emphasis could be placed on sorting out alot of things missing such as supply routes, maybe even trains as well as refine the field capture system from more than just the same old field capture system we have now such as needing to destroy brides and railroads around airfields as well as targets like oil refineries and more cities linked with area field capture.

Well, first of all I kill fh only at fields which need to be stoped. Second I used it as barracks/fuel killer too, about same amount of time.

And I almost never hit front fields, only support ones btw. Front fields can be killed by lanc/b17/b26 with much greater success and dammage.

Still, 70 perkies with my connect will go in average of 12 sorties due to disconnect. I want to be sure I made maximum dammage during this time. What I see now is just about fine, but as I wrote above in 1.07 it will be even less powerful than now, which require doing something about it.

It is my IMO anyway.

BTW, hblair, I used to think that city dammage percent does not affect hangar rebuild time. It affects factories/hq rebuild time. Hangars always back in 15 minutes. Am I wrong here?

Arado has plenty of uses, perhaps you just think it isn't used because it's being used effectively.

i agree with both revvin and that hblair sissy.

It's the bombers/bomb damage and the strat themselves that need to be worked on but... for a whole lot of people a quick and dirty fix is needed ASAP... It is no fun and really divides the communinty when a lot of part time buffers who are attention starved or talentless in other areas use the fighter availability bug to get attention and ruin the fite for so many.

I will say this tho.... it does seem that lately the the "real", or dedicated buffers pretty much leave the fighter hangers alone at two close bases that are furballing and spend their time in concerted efforts to capture fields in other areas.

The whole point of hitting hangars is to stop the pathetically arcade constant respawn of buff killers.Despite much protestation buffs are not hard to kill especially when you have the same dweeb making the same stupid dead six attacks, damaging the bomber a bit, getting shot down then respawning to do a little more damage the same dweeby way until eventually the bomber falls out of the sky.

Lazs,I think most dedicated buffers try to take out barracks ammo radar fuel at support bases after a furball develops at base under attack and most of that base is down.This leads to the BARF dead at # message.

The Arado is priced just right IMO.  Guess what, in WW2 they were very expensive for the Germans and not very useful either.  Just like in Aces High.  They are still fun to fly once you've got the points (I've only flown it twice in MA and probably never will get to again   ), and even more fun to shoot down.

Not really, I'm a dedicated Bomber-dweeb and anytime Im enroute to a field, I get requests to knock out FHs and BH for impending attacks...that [sadly] dont move much beyond "great talk" on channel 2.  The times I have done as you've suggested, Im blasted by the team for farming perkies.

Generally, I like to coordinated with the tide of motion at work among the team.  There are sometimes Ill lonewolf it out to a HQ, or fly around and knock out some radars and barracks.

But you're right Laz, it is getting pretty dry in the arena lately.  Not sure what would spruce it up though.  Just, well, getting a little old.
