This thread isnt about when planes are released or specifically which new planes get released.
What I am asking about is when ht is ready to intoduce new planes that he consider filling the gaps on a "by theater" basis instead of introducing several new planes that for the most part are unrelated in terms of which time frame and theater they belong in.
With the exception of an unperked ki84, or a later version spit 9, there's not many more planes that will get a lot of use in the main. So my point is if we get, for example, a ki84 and a LaGG3 (while they help) it still leaves large gaps in the planeset that will have a direct effect on the mission theater.
For instance a p38j, p47c, 109g6as, b24 (and others) get released specifically to fill the gaps in the ETO set. These will also help with a med theater and pac theater.
a ki84, p39, betty, ki43, f4f-3 (and others; I just using theses as an example) designed to fill the gaps in a pac theater.
I am not sure how long a specific "theater" will run (how long a "tour" will be) but we can quickly run out of options. If a certain group of folks feel they are always getting the shaft in terms of "substitutions" then they may be less likely to fly regularly.
This is currently a major point of arguement in the ct and events.
