What do we call AH players?
« on: September 20, 1999, 09:49:00 PM »
I was just over at AGW and saw a reference to WarBirders and started to wonder what we'd call AH players, High Aces?  Too reminiscent of the stoners of my youth.  I can just see the banter now in the little cafe just down the road from the base.

"Dude, I was in this really boss Mustang when a flight of B-17s flew over me and I got caught in this totally gnarly prop wash.  I thought I was gonna ride the spin in all the way to the beach. But I was like able to get out of it at the last minute. I was sooooo stoked."

Curiously,

Rolo

"The Aces High Crowd" rolls pretty naturally off the tounge (n.p.i.)

That would be cool Eagl, then we could reform the "meta-squad" as the BYAholes.

Hey Gazoo, Dweebs (as in "of Death") is already taken.

That was one of the things ozwondered about Playnet's sim, in that by tradition we have to have a two letter acronym (AW,RB,WB,FO,FA -- okay DoA is the exception).  World War II Online just plain has too many words. They're the ones who will have name problems ozreckons...
